Liljegren over Dermott and GMBM might actually do it

overpayment on the ducks trade i think. i’ve heard many ducks fans saying Nylander alone gets that done, with retained salary on Manson.
Also, it’s too early to trade Dermott. I assume he gets a cheap bridge deal to prove himself as a Top 4 guy and then gets a raise in 2-3 years. if he can’t prove himself then he gets dealt. for now, keep him.

That turns into an overpayment for the leafs. Look at the contract terms.. they can bridge Dermott and have him cheap for 2-3 years aswell as Nylander for 4 more years. Manson and Rakell are only on contract for 2 more years where they can easily just walk after or ask for a huge contract at an older year. They're not doing anything for Anaheim right now, they're not contending. Great players but they don't fit where the team is going right now. They need to get younger and rebuild

Look at the LHD depth ANA has, they dont need Dermott, at all. You dont trade two of your most valuable trade chips for things you dont need
