Well, not for that. Sunny is a solid piece in our style of game. Bortz is quite valuable at his low cap hit. These are both current pieces, and this return is basically futures with us only saving a couple million in cap. That's not to say they're untouchable, but there is no incentive to trade cheap contributors for a pile of maybe.

Korshkov is an unproven from the KHL. Knowing our Russian scouting staff, he would likely be a solid depth piece, but not much more. If lucky, could be a top 6, but like you said, why trade 2 knowns currently in the lineup for an unknown and picks

It saves you 4,125,000. That's a lot if you plan on resigning Petro. But I get it if they don't want to move those pieces. IMO I would think futures is want they want to create cap space

It doesn't even save us that if Korshkov is useless in the minors. But I'm assuming since he's good enough to inspire the Blues to trade these cheap contributors, he's good enough to play. So that would slice 925K off the savings. Or Maybe he's not quite so good and Sunny's roster spot needs to be replaced, which means cutting somewhere between 700K and 863K from the savings. Then you have to account for replacing Bortuzzo's roster spot, which would be no less than 800-900K. So at best, the end result would be about 2M and change in savings.
