      Regarding the trades though, none of these would work. The offer sheet is not enough for Anaheim to not take. Ottawa would most certainly say no. NJ likes Clowes contract and we're adding a 2nd rounder in order to get it done but that's a waste considering Emelin by himself is tradeable. Might just need to retain salary. Also we don't have to protect Emelin in the expansion draft. Its only for NMC's, not NTC's. And well a stick for DD would be nice but frankly no one is taking DD off our hands for nothing and even then DD isn't that bad that he should traded for nothing. Your only doing this to make space for Lindholm. Since that's not happening, might as well keep DD for his last year. He really isn't as bad as people make him out to be.

      Lol Montreal doesn't have enough salary to offer sheet Lindholm, He will easily get $6.5 million from Anaheim. So your offer sheet here would easily be matched.

      If my elementary understanding of offer sheets is correct, your 7 year $5.6M contract offer would actually count as a 5 year $7,840,000 compensation to Anaheim. Consequently, I think the return to Anaheim would be three first round picks.
