Also, Larkin? No way DETRIOT takes that.... they have enough goalies with price tags as is, not to mention the value isn't even

Also, Ryan McDonagh is really good. He is the NYR captain. Why are they trading him for spare change?

That Larkin trade is just comedically bad. Detroit has no other options for #1C post-Datsyuk and after Zetterberg retires; arguably he's going to be the best player they have going forward. And you expect them to trade him for a late 1st and a NMC goaltender when they already have Petr Mrazek as their planned starter and are desperately trying to get rid of Jimmy Howard?

The McDonagh trade isn't much better - he's one of the only NYR defensemen still playing effectively. The approximate odds of them giving him up for a handful of late picks are somewhere up there with the odds of Pittsburgh giving away Malkin for a #3C and a goaltending prospect.
