I think they were worth around that to most teams, Tampa overpaid because they needed it more than others, so yes, Supply and Demand was never an issue being discussed.

So do you believe that San Jose is in search of a 2/3C, Danault takes $4M, assuming a discount, that still means in a flat cap, you have $62M devoted to 8 players (doesn't include Hertl off of IR either). leaving you $19M to round out a roster of 15 other players. It doesn't work, unless Karlsson or Burns or Vlasic or Jones are moved. (and nobody is touching Jones)

The rest of the moves are equally as bad.

Winnipeg wants a 2C, and you give them a bunch of prospects and bottom-6 guys that are not centers for a rent-controlled top-6 winger.... they've been searching for a center for 3 years now, Hayes last year, Stastny the year before, and you give them unproven defenseman?

    get out of here. lol

WPG used to need a 2C, now they have bigger problems on RD since Buff, Myers and Trouba bailed. I'm offering a solution cause my subjective opinion is that those are damn good prospects. Armia will play 2nd line RW he might not put up the points Ehlers did but in MTL he proved he can more than hold his own at that slot. Now they can get back to focusing on acquiring that 2C.

Yes I'm 99.9% certain that SJ would accept that offer regardless how cringe worthy it is to give up those picks. And I also believe they'll try to unload Vlasic or Martin in order to make it happen cause that's how beautiful it is to have Hertl Coutour Danault as their C.

You can't say that most teams would've payed a 1st and 2nd but TB was desperate so they overpaid by giving up a 1st and 2nd. Cause technically any team that gave up a 1st and 2nd would've overpaid. So the discussion does revolve around supply and demand.

Before I dissect your comment just tell me... what do you think of Suzuki and KK as our future 1c 2c?

if KK plays the way he did in playoffs...I feel like we have 2 good centers that can play in our top 9 easily.
    why do you ask.
