Description

The Pens window is closed. With the cap mismanagement of JR and our players trade value at an all time low I dont see anyone digging us out of this hole. Kapenan is overrated and by all scouting reports is not a top 6 winger. Our bottom pair is a mess and we arent gonna win a dam thing with Jack Freaking Johnson. We are essentially in the same spot as the Blackhawks in 2015-2016. That being said MM is definetly gone but i think McCann will stay as the 3C. Which would be a huge mistake. McCann isnt a Center and serves better on the wing but Sullivan and JR are also keen on playing Johnson every night so that should say it all. After that i think the offseason of bug "changes" is over. Time to get ready fellow pens fans. Mediocrity is incoming.

As a Caps fan I think you have a real good lineup. It comes down to Sullivan. If he sits JJ then you can easily compete again.

I dont see sullivan sitting JJ. Nor do i see JR signing a bottom pair dman in FA. If Maniscalo somehow cracks the roster like Marino last year (not gonna hold my breath) then that just means another dman not named johnson will be on the way out. Sullivan since 2017 lost his way as to what made him successful. He is playing aging vets instead of younger faster players and has just lost his way.

This was a team that had literally taken first place in the Metro before Sullivan stupidly put Jack on the top pairing with Letang and played him a ton with Crosby. This led to a losing streak and having to playin the qualifying round, where Jack was on the ice for most of Montreal's goals.

I've never seen a player single-handily tank a team like this guy.
