Islanders send a veteran presence in Bailey (plus future assets) for a Nail Yakupov looking for a change to spark his career, trade could work out both ways. Kulemin cap dump to set aside money to resign Tavares next season.

Agreed, way too much for Yak. Edmonton was looking for a second rounder at the draft apparently. If they get a second, I'm sure they'd walk away feeling like they won the trade

Bailey trade is horrible...he is way better than yak..plus you did a horrible job with Grabo...if you simple take the current roster move pelech down to Bridgeport then place Grabo on LTIR his cap relief is 4.987 million not the 312K you came up with...thank the good lord you are not Garth!!!

Can't see anyone giving up that much for Yakupov. Trading De Hann isn't a surprise because of the young defensemen they have, but I can't see it happening. I'm a Hawks fan, so I could be wrong as I don't know a lot about the Isles.
