Declining d man? He had one bad year doesn’t mean anything plus he is playing for Arizona and that doesn’t help him at all. For monahan he is an easy flip for another top 4 d man or a cheaper winger plus a 1st rounder. Yes Toronto accepts all day long!

one bad year? lol
first his cap hit is over 8M till hes 36, not a good deal
he consistently gives puck away way more than he takes it away
his possession quality is negative
his best year was 15-16 (half a decade ago)

The whole idea of this deal was reuniting the line of Tkachuk, Dvorak, Marner that dominated in juniors.
