Hard no to this trade. Wideman stinks, Avs have too many dman to rotate in and would take minute away from Zads and Bigras
Avs are thin at RW so they wont be trading Iggy, especialyl adding a third round pick.

nothing offered that Avs find useful

I love it! But no way AVS part with Iggy and a 3rd round pick for what you are offering... Key to this trade is if Calgary is in the top 3 in the pacific looking to be a lock for a playoff run and AVS are down and looking not to make the playoffs... basically a cap swap but they get a prospect or 2... Ditch the 3rd but throw in Poirier... AVS get 2 prospects that will both be looking for a new home as both have fallen below our new draft picks on the depth charts... Calgary gets away from Wides plus brings Iggy back for what could be his last year in the NHL!

I understand the Avs trade doesn't seem the best but the avs need a left handed top 4 Dmen other than gelina and tyutin that could play along side barre and the flames need a top 6 RW
