    No team is going to take Stajan and his 3.2m contract just so Calgary gets cap space.

    Thing is Carolina has space, needs some center depth, and could just use him in a contract year as a show me, if not, there's no risk is all.

    Nope, check the Canes lineup. One area of their strength is centre. And teams especially budget teams like the Canes, don't want to pay 3.2m for Stajan when you can get a guy like him for 1.2m all day long.

    Oshie trade at the deadline in 2016/17 will require the flames to move some cap space out??? Just take him as a UFA this summer... As for Stajan... UltramanTaro & palhal are right... He is not trade able... even with the "actual" 2.5 mil salary but 3.1 cap hit... Just buy him out... If you end up a little over - well your cap prediction of 74.25 is probably low... I'm guessing 75 even... Bringing back Nakladal is ????? didn't even get a PTO this year... And why do we need Bishop when we can probably resign Elliot for 4.5... even after a good year???
