When I make Carolina trades I actually give them something they need and don't require that much. Smid isn't going to play at all, it's better we LTIR him, we won't get **** from him.

In what league do teams trade for an injured player that will not play this year????

They are taking on some salary that will put them above the floor and the aquire some more assets they can use for the future.

Note sure if that will work? Smid is not going to even practice with the team... Due to neck injury he is LTIR - so I think? For his cap to effect the team they would need to give up a roster spot? Not sure on this one?
