Description

Pouliot just seems to not be clicking with the Penguins and is getting old enough to where a change of scenery makes sense. Buffalo has been bringing in loads of young pieces the last couple years and will keep doing so for the next few. Buffalo brings in the young blue-liner who could fit nicely on the mobile defense buffalo has and takes the solid veteran winger Kunitz to free up some of the Penguins cap space. In return, Buffalo sends the Penguins a Hard working bottom-6 center in Larsson, a young winger in Baptiste who will play in Scranton for a season or two but has the upside of a good middle-6 winger in the NHL, and a 2nd rounder.

McCabe has looked very comfortable on his offside the last couple games he has been asked to do so in preseason and gets to play that now with Pouliot who build a solid bottom pairing that could have the upside of a 2nd-pairing skill level
