Description
Coyotes writer Craig Morgan asked 8 different NHL scouts and League executives and they all said Oliver's playing abilities and Skill have not decreased and that he may get better as he gets older , Oliver hasnt done well ever since he was given the Captaincy and he hasnt been able to keep up with the responsibilities and Pressure of being a Captain and its affecting his game . They all also said that Ekman Larsson contract is either fair or even good . In the End moving OEL unless its for a massive haul would be a mistake and he will bounce back when he's with another coach and not being counted as "The Guy"

  1. Ekman-Larsson, Oliver
Additional Details:
Edmonton is one of the teams that are in on Oliver but moving OEL would be a mistake for the Coyotes and they should either relieve him of his captaincy duties or ask Rick Tocchet to fit OEL into his sytem

I'll disagree and agree with you: OEL is not worth 8.25 million a year now, and he certainly won't be by the end of his contract. I agree he's worth more than replacement level, but for any team to take his high AAV, long contract is a substantial risk and is probably not worth it for either side. In this sense, I agree with you: arizona shouldn't trade OEL, and nobody should pay arizona assets to take him.

My guess: he is traded for two 2nds and a 'name'. The return in a flat cap era will be lower than some of the deals we see on here.

No this isnt my opinion this simple the general opinions of the 8 scouts and league executives that were interviewed and what funny is that 8 guys also generally said that teams should be lining up to acquire OEL regardless of the contract as it will most certainly revive his offense and defense
