We’d need to get a 3rd team involved to hold that salary. You guys give your second to them. Because retaining and taken Hutton means we’re still spending 11 million on goalies

You can waive Hutton or buy him out. Buying him out costs 916K for 2 years

Ducks trade doesn't make too much sense for the sabres. We move up only one spot and give up the younger player? From what I understand the difference between 6 and 7 shouldn't be too big.

No. Their top 10 D has 5 of 6 returning regulars, their goaltending is vastly improved and their Offense has added production. The Sabres were 6 hours away from a play in spot this year. If Ullmark never got hurt they would have been well into a play in spot by March. This version would easily be a wild card team

Sabres are still picking 8 and thats the difference between Sanderson and Rossi. Sabres are also getting Silfverberg for 3 mill against the cap

Easily one of the worst things I heard on this website.. By what metric is buffalo a top 10 D ? I would be surprised if they were top 20. " 6 hours away from a play in spot" dude 24/31 teams made it. Bragging that you almost made it is pathetic.

The ducks trade is horrid for Buf. No reason to lose your best young RW for Silf who is wildly average. and to move up two spots.
Keep Reino and pick bpa not sanderson.

sorry difference between 6 and 8* I just dont think the value difference between sanderson and Rossi comes close to the difference between silfverberg and Reinhart. Reinhart's both younger and significantly better. Also picks 4-10 seem to be a tossup as to who will go where so idk if I'd assign much of a difference in value for those picks

tey gave up the 8th least goals at 5v5.
their special teams were atrocious.
they actually have a good D group but bad D structure on the man down

That doesn’t make much sense as we would STILL be paying 11 million for goalies once we sign a backup

factoring in 4.75 mill being freed up and a decent college prospect being added in, Im fine with it. Silvferberg matched Reinhart in goals, Im sure he'll pick up residuals in the A column and 4 years take us through the projected corona cap crunch era

Reinhart is not much better than Silfverberg, I think Silfverberg is also way more defensively responsible than Reinhart specifically. Rossi is better than any of the BPA forwards at 8, If Rossi is gone that probably means Perfetti is there

I dont need that out of a 1st liner and I doubt Silfverberg would get involved in a fight. But how many more examples do you need of toughness winning. Tampa got ran over by CBJ, went out and added Coleman, Goodrow, Bogosian, and Maroon and they went out and won the cup, with nearly they same top 6 (aside from missing their captain)
