Description

No, don`t be wrong. The team won`t be better for the upcoming season. But there must be clean & order at some point.

To release Ryan and Phaneuf might seem very stupid but I believe they are the players who should be punished in the first line to show to the rest of the team that no one is untouchable if he does play under performance.

Let`s trades those 2 or just step to a buyout.

Trade 1:
- unlikely due to Ryan`s T-NMC
- Winnipeg might be interested if they are gready enough

Trade 2:
- Jersey might be unwilling to absorb Phaneuf`s huge salary

Trade 3:
- Vancouver or any other team with little depth on D could accept this offer

I'm sure we'd consider dropping Josefson, but we're not giving up a serviceable veteran defenceman in Lovejoy and a good PK player for a cap-dump, regardless of the cap space we have. You would have to send more our way and expect us to send less back (we shouldn't be paying you to take on a contract we don't need/you don't want and a player we don't even want).
