Any updated thoughts about who the Leafs should draft at #15 on Tuesday?

My 2 cents.

Scenario 1. Someone among Jarvis, Quinn or Lundell is available at 15. It takes one team before the Leafs making a creative pick for that to happen. If so, I would take the opportunity, in that order of preference.

Scenario 2. If not, Guhle could be available at 15. Many rankings have him higher. I would pick Guhle even if he's not a RHD. The type of player that we don't have in the organization, who could replace what Muzzin brings to the team when he retires.

Final thoughts.

Many of you said Schneider at 15 is too high. And I agree. But if the Leafs pick him at 15, it's because they did due diligence and are confident they can develop his skating to NHL level. I trust our scouts on that question. I don't care much if he doesn't score; his defensive zone presence could add something to the team. That doesn't strike me as a Dubas pick, however.

And if none of that happens, there are still plenty of options: trade for roster player, trading down the pick, wild card pick...
