No thanks... and definitely not for a 3rd

One issue I could see here is sending out that many players and bring zero salary back. Perhaps it was doable in previous years but I don’t see it possible with the current state of the league. A lot of teams will be trying to do things like that which just makes it unlikely we will be able to accomplish this many.
If keep jj for 4c I think the best way to fix his 5-5 play is creating a defined role for that line. Expecting any offence of JJ will lead to disappointment that doesn’t mean he’s bad tho he brings tremendous value on pk which shows he’s capable of a structured game. This year he’s had a strange mix of line mates I don’t think suits him one bit which caused problems. My thinking is instead of the rumoured Chiasson for Bjork deal try to swing a Chiasson for N Ritchie deal instead. We hands down “loose” the trade but do create a heavy 4th line in Ritchie JJ and kass. I can’t see teams trying to match top lines against that fourth line so it forces more best on best play which id bet on mcdavid and Leon all day long. I do love your 3rd line.
One interesting thing to note is AA and hall share same agent and according to Kurt leavings of the cult of hockey hall is more open to a one year deal than he was before this pandemic took place so I do kinda wonder if negotiations over AA go well enough if that could result in a few talks about halls intentions.
