How is this a 3 way trade unless you are sending Stamkos to Vegas. Also, we don't need a player like Karlsson.

Yeah well you didn't do it right, It basically looks like Stamkos to DET along with Karlsson we're not moving Rasmussen he's playing over in Europe. There's noway we're retaining $8 mil on Stamkos plus giving up Rasmussen and Gagner for Karlsson and a 4th round pick.

I cant see the Wings wanting to take on guys in their late 20 with a lot of term left on their deals right now, especially at the cost of young assets. If Gourde and Karlsson had 2 or 3 years, I could see Detroit being interested but we will be needing to sign younger guys in 4 or 5 years assuming we draft and develop well. They don't fit into the long term plan. I don't think the Wings are looking to be competitive for at least another season or 2.
