It's uneven yes, but Carolina would also be taking salary back, as well as an expiring contract with Eriksson.

Team gets extremely weaker on FWD, and an already shaky defense gets even worse. Why are you overpaying for a player like Rask? He's decent but nowhere near worth that type of package.

Adding Alexander Semin is icing on the cake. No use for a player like Semin. Yeah he can "Score" (unless last year was the start of his downfall in the NHL -- bolting to the KHL) but he doesn't give an ounce of shit about the defensive zone. Pass on him so quickly.
