Description

Poor Max going thru the rumour mill again with Vegas trying to shed cap to fit Pietrangelo. I guess after this deal you can say mtl really won that trade. I know things got sour in mtl with him but times are different now and if Vegas wants to push him out the door to make room for another guy it’s more of an insult than mtl starting a rebuild. If they can move on from past he can move back to a city he loved and not have the pressures of being the captain and go-to guy.
Vegas sheds 4.6 mil in this trade and gets a player that their last coach gave up on too soon. Could be different with DeBoer and the whole reason is that they’re that much closer to having room for Pietrangelo.

I looked into it. You can’t trade for a player you’ve retained salary on for 1 year so this deal would work
