You're going to have to give up more to a team taking on Eriksson. Maybe him, a good prospect like Hoglander or a first, and also you shouldn't expect to get a pick higher than the fifth round. If you're not willing to pay the price, then you'll just have to keep Eriksson.

And they will be better suited to commit to a longer term option at that position after next season when the issues with Hughes, Petterson, Demko, Ferland and Edler are resolved.
