Thornton thrives on the PP.
540 of his career 1500 pts in on the PP, about 1/3

If Leafs cant make room for him on PP1, you arent getting the full benefit of having him on the roster.
Not to mention hes another year older and slower

i think everyone is too hyped on the name of joe thornton and then when he doesnt play (because he is not good enough) keef and dubas will be blamed for not playing his veterans presence more and will use that as the reason to why the leafs lost and fire dubas
