Why would NYR make this deal and get rid of Buchnevich? He's one of the best players at his cost and that return is not great.

He's not that much better then Virtanen. And he has one year left before hes and RFA and probably has arbitration rights. He's going to cost you 3 mil plus more then Virtanen and only get 10 more points. This is a trade NYR would take a run with. Especially with the added second, no idea who the other guy is.
