That's as far as I've read so far, and that's just moronic. Do you really believe SJS helped Ottawa by getting a better return than Ottawa did? Hoffman was a cancer, and had to be gotten rid of. Ottawa didn't want Hoffman in the East, even though they had better offers in the East. Yet that's where SJS traded Hoffman to, and the reason Ottawa made a condition in the Karlsson trade that if Karlsson was traded to a team in the East, and just on the roster and irrelevant if he even played a game, at any time during the 18/19 season, they received another 1st round pick, and you think that SJS helped them with Hoffman? Give your head a shake.

"Sens receive a 1st round pick from the Sharks (no later than 2022) if Karlsson is on an Eastern Conference roster (reserve list) during the 2018-19 season"

Ottawa couldn’t move Hoffman therefore the sharks took the problem and made it there own. Ottawa could have traded Hoffman to whomever and couldn’t - San Jose took Hoffman for them as you mentioned there was a locker room issue. Regardless of what San Jose did Ottawa couldn’t move Hoffman. Yes trading him back to the Atlantic was a nuisance but Wilson clearly didn’t say “yeah we’re keeping Hoffman” he definitely told them he’s going to flip him. Now did Ottawa want it to be the panthers - no but the sharks and media all knew Hoffman was a “three team trade”. San Jose didn’t have to take Hoffman and I bet you Hoffman told the sharks he’d like to go to Florida out of the teams that were buying on him. That’s business. Hoffman definitely knew he wasn’t a sharks DJ definitely was informed it would be Florida and he clearly said yes. So whatever I’ll say they didn’t help anyone but they didn’t “scam” anyone lol. And the fact they made a trade at a later date clearly meant there was no hard feelings as the sharks clearly meet with Ottawa and make decisions together as per the Karlsson trade. I don’t know why you’re so hostile lol
