Why not Fleury for Niemi (50% retained) and a 3rd pick

Dallas gives up almost nothing
Pitts gets cap space and a decent backup goalie for 1 year until Jarry is ready

Pure assumption that because Lehtnon has fewer teams on his NMC he is more likely to waive to move to PIT then again to LV. Pure speculation.

Lehtonen and Niemi both have NTCs not NMCs so they would have to approve the trade to Pittsburgh but would not need to be protected from Vegas.
