Plekanec of 2 years ago? Sure. Plekanec of this year? Hell no. He's regressed big time. He's still a efficient defensive player but man oh man that is 6M of cap wasted at the moment. EDM doesn't need him and considering he's the centerpiece of the trade, they wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

Haha yeah, I know... maybe he'll break out of this slump. Big problem I have with Plekanec is I feel he is never trying to score when he shoots. I don't feel this way about anyone else. He's still a good player, maybe not $6M good though.
