      Actually Datsyuk could have been "buried". saving the Wings 925,000 in cap space. Seems like a terrible rule in this case by the NHL. Detroit wasn't trying to bypass cap rules, and got no benefit by Datsyuk leaving.
      Maybe the Wings should have "bit the bullet" and not signed Nielsen long term, saved cap space, and retooled for next year.

      I think they should have done the same. Watching chycrun be good has really frustrated me knowin he could have been a wing. Instead we're left waiting to see if cholowski even pans out and scrapping for points with a team truly not worthy of them
