Imagine the wild and wacky offseason two years down the road where you've gotta figure out how to keep ADA, Kakko, Fox, PLD and Zibanejad, after the inevitable raises for Shesterkin, Lindgren, Chytil, and Buch after this season.

Not that it should stop you from making this trade (if Columbus was into it), it'd just be very interesting to see how the team dealt with that Tampa-esque payroll issues.

Hoping ADA won't be resigned after this contract (he's awful defensively), I'd think CBJ would want Chytil in place of Strome, and I'm cool with losing Buch and Lindgren if it means keeping the others and PLD. At this point, a PLD trade is worth it because he is the difference between this team being a cup contender and being a hopeful. We need a 2C desperately.

I don't think DeAngelo or Buchnevich will be with the Rangers in 2 years. Lindgren won't cost alot and the way Chytil is developing, he won't cost too much. Without Buch and DeAngelo, Rangers should have around $32Mil in cap space after this season and around $56Mil after next season is complete. Thats assuming a flat cap through the next 3 seasons. It can be done.
