Really like the first deal but Im really hesitant in trading nuge. I've had my knee jerk reactions with him before but that guy does a ton of heavy lifting. I'm not sad about his cap hit either. I'd honestly put pouliot on waivers and try to aquire strome some other way. Iiro the hero is a guy I want to see more of in the nhl before I trade him. He's got low draft pedigree but shoots from weird angles and doesn't give up on plays. He's also got good size, pretty good skating, he checks there's enough in his game to see where he goes especially with his shot. I'd like to see him in some games with one of the 3 centers and their play making ability. Iiro has a 100 plus MPH clapper that can hit the net believe it or not. He is still learning two way play which is kind of set back but I think he'll get there because he's a hard working guy.

At some point you're going to have to move Nuge though, when McDavid is up for extension you can't have him, Draistail & RNH all making $5m+

I understand this, I would rather overpay at center than wing. Get rid of fayne, pouliot hendricks contracts draft well and sign good college free agents. We'll be in good shape. The only down side of having a generational talent and high picks is paying them lol.
The cap will go up and we have lots coming off the books in the next 2 seasons.

I know I like Nuge too, I dont think the Nuge we are seeing right now is the real Nuge. I think the coach is counting on his 2way, and having him do volume shooting, Nuge will adjust by by end of year and worth his contract next year. Would love to see what he can do in the playoffs. Iiro just doesnt have a place with Kass, shlepyshleps and Pitlick needing to be unseated on right side I think.

I understand this how ever Pak was playing over his head because of injuries and the Eakins systems. Trust me there's a much better version of teemu hartikanen there. I think he can unseat some one. He's a decent call up to and if oils develop that guy they will receive some value for him. He's worth hanging on to in my opinion. All of the guys mentioned above does will be moved in and out of the line up. TMAc likes to do this with the Oilers roster.
