Description

flat cap is probably a reasonable assumption. I tried to make these deals realistic. we get a lot of cap space from dropping Smith, JJ, and buyouts, but have to pay a lot of guys this year. in the next two years we'll have Kakko, Lafreniere, Zibanejad, Miller, and Fox; signs point to trading Strome and Deangelo before their contracts expire

realistically this team is missing PLD, Hampus Lindholm and Rakell and then theyd be contenders imo. Not those specific names but they do need a 2C, top pairing LHD and a top 6RW

All pretty reasonable needs. I think Miller has the potential to be LHD1 in a few years time, this year will be a good indicator of that IF he makes the team to play with Trouba. Kakko could also end up being a top 6 forward. 2C is more flexible, with free agency being a good plan. I guess a lot of what the team does depends on the development this year.

you guys could definitely fill one or two of these positions by trade. Guys like Pajuniemi, Henriksson, Robertson, (one of Schneider/Lundkvist if it comes to a big name), Strome, Deangelo, 1st round picks. Thats the guys that should be on the table
