Maybe Hansen & Burrows could both get traded to Montreal? I would love to see Burr try and win it with his hometown team and then come back to Vancouver. But I think if he got traded to Montreal he'd try to re-sign there.

Too much for Gudbranson, (at this point, I would actually leave him exposed and protect Sbisa...I KNOW RIGHT?!), also I think Dorsett is worth more than a 7th - while it is a bad contract, he is still an NHL player, or just don't give up the 6th rounder if he is being traded to Carolina. Otherwise I like all of the moves. I think Tanev for JVR would be interesting but I don't think Leafs fans have a clue about how good Tanev really is and probably would scream bloody murder. I actually would ask for Kadri because we need a center more than a winger but either guy would be a fair get.

Watty: Disagree on your "Leafs fan statement." JVR with contract expiring in the summer 2018, and Tanev's going another till 2020, I think that deal would be a steal for the Leafs. What I (as a Leaf fan) wouldn't want to see is that a good young NHL asset get traded for Tanev. Leafs have cap room and lots of prospects to get a good NHLer for a cheap price than let's say Kadri or Nylander.
Still say the best value for Tanev, if the Canucks are so inclined, is to make a deal with Cup contender who needs a Dman....and has young assets that the Canucks could build on.
Looking at the Habs roster, don't think they need a RWer. Burrows to Boston would be interesting....chomp chomp.
