Tampa isn’t playing bad per say they’re definitely getting chances. And the team is playing good defensively too. But you can tell without Kucherov the first line guys aren’t getting getting the puck in prime shooting locations. Kucherov could always find guys through crowds of defenders and we don’t have that now. Stamkos looks shy to pull the trigger too. His shot is 10 times better than Points or Palats so he should just shoot it instead of trying to pass it. And if Hedman or Sergachev is at the point then it’s fine to toss it to the blue line but if it’s like Luke Schenn or Rutta everytime it’s like come on. The last time Stamkos really pounded the puck on net was when he was linemates with Killorn and Callahan so guys who would defer to him everytime so maybe we recreate that. Cirelli and Killorn play that hound the puck in the boards game and allow Stammer to be the trigger man. You can really tell there’s something missing with Kucherov out vs when Stamkos is out. But when it’s Stamkos Point and Kucherov on a line you know it’s back to god mode (the line that got Kucherov his hart and art Ross trophies).
