I can't ever see Bergy getting put on the 3rd line. Yes, he can't find the back of the net to save his life, but the rest of his possession and defensive stats are still all top 10 in the league. I'd go for taking Backes off the wing and centering the 3rd line though.

First few games of the season Backes was centering Pasta and Marchand and they were all playing well together. Right now it seems like Bergeron is the odd man out on that line so I think he could benefit from a change up, some new wingers and easier line matches. Or they could put him with Nash and form a shutdown line for opposing teams top lines. Right now, its about using Bergerons skills where it will benefit the team the most and I don't see that being on the top line.
