I don't have a problem with it because you didn't really give anything up, but he's yet to really prove he's more than a 4th liner and that's a hell of an over pay for a 4th liner.

Pick you could argue to change to a 4th. But I still feel Calgary views him highly, but who knows. I think he’d mesh well here and they need this 3rd line issue fixed sooner rather than later.

yeah I'm sure CGY fans still think he's worth a 1st because they drafted him 4OA and he had those 10 games.......
but honestly if you are looking for him to fix problems I'd say don't be on it. That's what JR did, the misfit island plan of team building doesn't really work. You have to start with good players who are misfits not just whatever you can find. Not that the 3rd line doesn't have issues it does, It starts with Jankowski and his 25% corsi games all the time.
They honestly should have played Poulin this year. I don't know what the hell they are waiting for.

I think they were scared to give him the Daniel Sprong treatment. Sully is a weird coach and I could see him being the dude to play Poulin on the 4th line or some dumb ****. Like look, Kapanen was suppose to be Crosby’s and it never happened because he needed to “ease into it” even though he was great after 1 freaking game.

I think that was kind of a punishment on Kap. Look lets be honest, he had a long time to get here and be game ready. Instead he was irresponsible and came at the last minute and missed games because of it.
I think that was just a message. It had to be done.

But I do think Sully has lost the room. But I honestly don't see him playing Poulin, mainly because they refuse to play their youth unless they have no choice.
