Ristolainen will be hard to get unless Buffalo gets who they want. I really don't see a true #1 coming to Winnipeg. Top 4's like a Murphy or a Savard if Chicago and Columbus are selling. I don't see Chevy doing anything tbh.

You don’t honestly think the sabres will be buyers this year do you? And you don’t think risto might actually sign in Buffalo? Considering that, I think they move him for futures either this season or the next. Whichever they get best value, which I think I am giving here. A 1st and a good bottom 6 player (with upside)

I don’t think the jets necessarily need a number 1 d. They have plenty of high end defensemen. What they need is to fill in the holes. They need a top 4 rd with size. I honestly am not so sure about this roster tbh. If you take out the games against Ottawa, the jets are 5-3-1, yes that still puts them in 3rd in the division but those games were all close (and most of them the jets had no business being in tbh cause of a lack of effort). I wouldn’t honestly mind chevy standing pat. However, if there’s a way he can add a top 4 guy like Risto, he should take it and run. This team has too much depth to ignore as a contender with a decent d-core

Why wouldnt he re-sign, they'll definitely be trying to extend him, so at earliest were looking trade deadline 2022 to think about moving him. Sabres also have a roster of bottom 6 players, they dont need more
