Deadline pickups (if in the playoffs)

Created by: tarvbc
Team: 2016-17 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 12, 2016
Published: Dec. 13, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
A lot of moving parts. Doubt Iginla waives his no-trade for Edmonton instead of a team like Montreal or Chicago (if they can make it work).

Value is somewhat close for a trade deadline I think but I'm not totally sold on it either.

I wonder if Iginla would agree to go to Edmonton? He is from there but spent so long with the Flames could he possibly do it? Would Flames fans forgive him for going there?

I think Iginla will go to whatever team gives him the best chance at winning the cup. We saw him do that the last trade deadline he was apart of and if Edmonton is his best chance then I'd say he comes along to play for his hometown team and have a kick at the cup with McD. Now realistically the Oil are in tough to even make the playoffs let alone be a contender.

A Edmonton first rounder for Stone? Maybe the Rangers who finish about 28th but the Oilers still may finish out of the playoffs.
