I think they should split Crosby and Malkin PP units. At least try it.

Letang can also be given a bit of a break and not have to be as worried about PK. His role could be decreased to make sure he is in good shape.

Mixed feelings on this. Love the Pettersson trade, he's become expendable and it gives us draft capital. Not a fan of the Riikola trade at all, don't like Deslauriers. Mixed feelings about the NSH trade. All three players we get back are great, but two are UFAs at the end of the season and will probably leave.

Sid is used to playing with guys like that. Plus even though he is known as a fighter he did put up more than a PPG in the Q.

Allows for 4 really good lines was my thought. Could maybe put ZAR there as well.

Burke and Hextall have made it clear they want to add a guy like Deslauriers. You could do a lot worse. He actually isn`t that bad of a player (put up more than PPG in the Q, shows he has at least some scoring ability) Has also played D in the past if needed.

Nashville trade is based on the fact this team is going for 1 more run. If the gamble pays off and they show they can be a contender then they can try and sign them. You have Ekholm for another year and would be able to sign at least 1 of Granlund and Haula. But if this doesn`t work and the Pens flame out of playoffs again then the team is getting retooled or blown up anyways.
