It is about schemes. The day after the trade his expected stats were a lot better. He was playing 20+ minutes his first game too.

What measurement are you using? The numbers don’t agree. The GF and GA are 1 off for both. Lindgren is underperforming in GA. Add in Lindgren has a higher offensive zone FO starts and 4 more O zone starts. Skjei also has 30 more D zone starts.

Lindgren GF and xGF are 0.6 and 1.9 while Skjei is -0.1 and 0.6 Defensively Lindgren xGA and CA is 1.6 and 1 while brady has -1 and 0.8 Lindgren is better in every category

We are talking minimal differences and with Skjei having more ice time and ton more defensive responsibility.
