Could have been a Seattle scouting trip. Is Vancouver afraid to start Holtby??? Allen and Vanecek both starting tonight. The main competition for selected goalies....

Honestly I agree. They should have given Thatcher the night off and let Holtby start games.

Yep, there are four more games against Ottawa and they’re all in the same week (Apr 22-Apr 28).

Canucks have to start Demko cause Holtby isn't playing nearly as well as Demko. And the 2 games against Montreal are pretty important especially if Van wants to compete for the 4th playoff spot.

That increases the risk of injury. He’s been carrying this team through two sloppy games against Ottawa, even though we won those games, but if I’m Travis Green, you go with Demko one night, and then you go with Holtby the next. If Montreal is starting Jake Allen, then you go with Braden Holtby. If you remember from earlier this season, Markstrom I believe went down with an injury after being overplayed, so you don’t want to overplay your goaltending.
