Crawford wouldn't waive to go to Carolina, but I don't dislike the return even if I think Carolina would have more leverage since they know the Hawks will be desperate to move someone. I'm not sure Lindholm can play on the left as well and he's already barely putting up middle 6 numbers.

You also don't have a single line capable of being a checking line right now - Motte isn't going to be ready for that by next year lbr as he has not had very good possession or shot suppression numbers and he's not played center in a while (the Hawks def don't see him as one). Rasmussen is the best bet for that checking line center role, since he's playing it current though as a winger, if they move on from Kruger. Also, that is a young bottom 6.

Ill admit to not knowing their young forwards all that well, so if there is one that is better at being a shutdown, or if they need to try to sign a more veteran guy even on a PTO that can play a good defensive game.
