Larkinking; Desharnais and Plekanec contracts are up after this year and next year respectfully. Nielsen not until 2022-23. It is actually not that far off money wise for Montreal, a couple of picks and say McCarron and I am sold.

I created this trade from the MTL perspective and it actually does fit for the Habs. I added a 2nd and a 3rd plus McCarron to see what it would look like. If Detroit would be willing to retain 1M on Neilsen's contract instead of Tatar's, I would make this trade. Also one component that would need to be clarified too is if Green can play the left side. If not then I'm not sure this trade works. We really need a quality LH dman. We're pretty set on the right side as is.
