Description
Due to Covid the NHL should just cancel the season. Vancouver has loads of players on protocol and some people are saying they may not play again this season(Don't know if this is true) and according to a leafs fan Nylander has been exposed. Also Dallas had a late start due to Covid, every division has had delayed games, we don't want to spread the virus even more in places like BC and Ontario both going into shutdown and Alberta getting higher cases every day, its time. I'd be okay with it so no one dies.

You do realize that the league planned for the pandemic in advance right lol. They knew that a lot of games were gonna get delayed and players would miss time. They’re working with provincial doctors and have much more knowledge about this than we even think we do. Let’s leave these decisions to the big boys lol

I respect your opinion but we are too far in now to come out. It would heavily screw over teams like flordia and washington where this could be there last shot at a cup. Vancouvers season could be screwed but they weren't going to do much anyway.

Tbh this is more of a Canada issue than a US issue. Everyone here has access to vaccines and other than the beginning of the season there have not been many outbreaks here. Wouldn’t be fair to the US teams to cancel because of Canadian problems that are ultimately outside of the leagues control

I somewhat agree but I think its too late. There's a month left in the season so the NHL should just finish the regular season and do the playoffs in the Bubble.

A bubble, or multiple bubbles, would make more sense than just shutting down.

West division could set up in California, with safe travel plans. Three NHL arenas in Cali, that’s why I chose it.

North division could set up a bubble in either Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary are fairly close) or Ontario/Quebec (three arenas in fairly close proximity. but Ontario is a crap show for covid currently, especially the Toronto area)

East division could set up in New York. Four arenas somewhat close (Buffalo, NYR, NYI, NJ) I believe the Flyers arena is actually closer to NYR, NYI and NJ than Buffalo is, I could be wrong though.

Central division could set up in Florida. Two close arenas. Carolina, Dallas and Nashville’s arenas are terribly far either.

These are just rough ideas, obviously tweaks and changes would be made for a better plan. Safe travel and no outside contact would be mandatory for it to work well. Like the playoffs.
