Description
Right now, the Leafs' biggest need is to upgrade goaltending. It's likely not going to happen if they don't make major changes as Andersen is the only big salary player coming off the books. They will need to resign Hyman and add a 4D, so technically they'll only have 1.5-2 million to add a good 1B goaltender.

They're going to need to outscore their problems next season by being the best play driving team in NHL history.

    I don't agree with a lot of your teams, but most are within the realm of possibilities

    Strome is not being traded for a 2nd alone, let alone with retention.
    Oleksiak isn't a top 4 D, let alone a LD.

    Kerfoot and Holl is not getting you a first from Col, and frankly I'm happier with Holl in the Rd slot than Oleksiak

    Kerfoot at 3.5 mil is much better than Cizikas at 3.7

    Mike Smith is I believe 40 next year, hard pass.

Hall won't sign for that low, there's no way he would do that. Don't trade Holl, protect him in the expansion draft and lose Kerfoot instead. Don't need Mete, Sandin is gonna be a regular next year. Chicago wouldn't trade Strome for a 2nd, especially retaining salary


    I feel the only way to keeping Hyman would be giving him 4x8, he’ll likely get a Gallagher comparable anyway.

    Why do you feel Cizikas & oleksiak are unnecessary? I feel it fills holes at 3C & 4D.

    Fair feedback, except I don’t get why you think Kerfoot is better. He’s been statistically their worst skater at 5v5 this season & cizikas would give them a legitimate option to match up other teams.
