Description
Bergevin tried to get Shipachev last year. There was mutual interest but his KHL contract wouldn't let him join the Canadiens just yet. As for Dadonov, he seems pretty bless so why not. They play together in the KHL and have over a point per game. Dadonov told journalists that he would like to play in the NHL when his contract finishes so it only makes sense they come to the same team together.

I heard that they were gonna loose Brodin in the expansion draft. I found that weird bcuz he seems to be a solid top4 D that has potential to be a top2. Can someone confirm that for me:)

Don't Shipachyov and Dadonov have to be signed to entry-level contracts, since they've never had NHL contracts before? Or is that wrong?

Dadonov and Shipachyov both play for the SKA st-petersburgh and they will make the KHL playoffs after the season ends mid february. They both said that eventhough they could technically come the NHL now theyll honor they're contracts and finish the season in the KHL first

Dadonov was drafted in 2007 by Florida and played for them from 2009-2012 sparingly. At the end of 11-12 season his ELC expired and he decided to go back to Russia. Panthers no longer hold his rights due to his age. He is free to sign with any team for any amount.
