I mean, they have better players that might be moved due to roster limitations. If I was Ottawa I’d be big game hunting a 1RD. Like you mentioned before, they probably need to move a LD to RD, why not big game hunt an RD? Use one of the LD guys to get them.

I think we need to be patient about the defence they will be fine with the way Brannstrom , JBD and Zub are playing. Add Sanderson and it will be an elite D corps. I’d love to acquire either a 1C or a top 6 winger tho.

i think Mete will be the odd man out when Sanderson comes and if he becomes a top 4 LD, but thats is 1-2 years away, if Mete establishes himself as a top 4 Dman in OTT during that time, he will make one hell of a trade chip for w/e OTT may need by that time if Zub and JBD stay/become top 4 D. OTT weakness IMO is they have no 30+ elite goal scorers, Norris, Batherson,Brady, Stützle, pinto and Formenton are 20-25 G/year players.

Do not need a crosby or MCDavid to win cups, look at ST-Louis, Boston, Kings. Norris can become a 1C, he just needs to shoot more....

Laine comes to mind for maybe available snipers but man is he struggling this year and proly would be a risk to acquire considering what CBJ would ask for him not to mention if he still expects to be paid 9M+.
