I love Tavares as a player, but Mika has out produced him in the last couple years and gets paid half as much. I know his contract is up by the end of next year but we could resign him and we get Kaako to boot, yes please, not sure this deal is in the best interest of the rangers though.

What is This mess. Tkachuk for laf may be close in value but you don’t trade ur first overall pick after a half season. Why do we want Brent burns for 4 more years? That leafs trade is so one sided.

I love John Tavares, but the Leafs get cap-relief AND 2 very good players. If I were Dubas I would accept that in a second, but Tavares' NMC shuts that down
