the problem is that draft class MIGHT be the weakest in years, so while a lottery pick sounds good - it might not be something that the Sabres would want, especially with having no worse than the 3rd overall pick. So, no, I don't think that this would be enough to make up the value. If they Sabres make a deal that includes a goalie, I would have to think that it would be Elvis would be the goalie targeted (and then extended).

However, the offer with a goalie is important IMO - the way I see that is CBJ and the Rangers are really the only 2 teams that could offer a starting caliber goalie as a part of a package for Eichel. ARZ and WSH both have goalies that could become #1's in Adin Hill and Vanecek, but I don't see either team being able to pull off that kind of deal.

I don't think this is enough value.

How much would Merzlikins change it do you think?

I think there needs to be a good bit more value, adding just merzlinkins wouldn't be enough
for eichel you need to give top prospects and or high value 1st round picks. Tampa's 1st rounder in a weak draft isn't worth much
