Description
Jack Eichel Trade is about the best offer they could get and it’ll likely be less than this.
If the standings stay the same then the LA pick would be 9th overall and I expect they’d take Jesper Wallstedt. They need a franchise G pretty bad. The Flames pick for Reinhart would be 10th overall and I think Chaz Lucius would be a great pick. I would suggest they grab a RD but the only one near that spot is Corson Ceulemens and it’s a reach at #10. They could trade down or even trade the pick straight up for an established RD.
I’d move Ristolainen at the TDL and hope his trade value increases by then.

As for an example of what the other teams I mentioned could offer. I think this is pretty close from a Flames perspective

    Monahan (vet player)
Dube (young top 9 NHL player coming off ELC)
    Zary/Pelletier (recent mid/late 1st)
    10th/11th OA (high 1st rounder)
    FLA 2022 2nd

Eichel and Tkachuk would be a nice answer to McDavid and Draisaitl. If Seattle did them a favour and took Lucic then they could be very competitive next year.
If that Flames pick was say 7th overall then it’s an easy decision for the Sabres.

Even then this draft class gets pretty underrated, Mason McTavish and Fabian Lysell are expected to be available around where the Flames pick. Both just had excellent U-18 tournaments

If that pick is 7th then a team is looking at potentially a guy like Eklund, Edvinsson or Johnson maybe depending on which one drops. The top 7 picks are pretty sweet.

I think 9th is the best Calgary can get now with LA very likely loosing tonight, even if they loose all 4 to the nucks more regulation wins keeps them above the Kings

Depends whos available, Lucius, McTabish, Johnson, Lysell, and Sillinger all look like solid forward options. Edvinsson and Clarke look like good dmen arond there too.

I think everyone from 5-12 vpuld go in almost any order

If the Flames keep winning they’ll end up picking 12th overall.
I think Brandt Clarke is gone in the top 5.

Who would you compare because to? I think he could go anywhere from 3rd to 8th depending on the teams.

top 4 to me is locked Beniers, Power, Eklund and Hughes. Don't see anyone going before them.

I think Simon Edvinsson is going to turn some eyes eventually. 6-4 and 200+ lbs with the skating and skills etc.

Who would you compare Brandt Clarke to? Current NHL player?

    What’s your top ten?
    Mine is:
    Power
    Beniers
    Guenther
    Edvinsson
    Clarke
    Johnson
    Hughes
    Eklund
    Wallstedt
    McTavish

Power and Beniers could easily swap depends on the team.

    Beniers
Power (agreed these 2 can swap, I think that comes down to team need though)
    Eklund
    Hughes
    Guenther
    Johnson
    Clarke
    Edvinsson
    Wallstadt
    Lucius

Lysell or McTavish could go anywhere after 5 for me as well

I think Lucius might not make the top ten simply because of the lack of viewings which is really too bad. Getting him, Lysell or McTavish after the 10 spot is a steal imo.
I guess Luke Hughes has a late birthday so his ceiling gets pushed up a bit. Goran Stubb spoke out about how fantastic Edvinsson is and how he’s the next star from Sweden.
