Mantha has been a very good fit in Washington, they wont move him, him and Dzingle also dont fix Calgary's primarly issue of lack of right handed top 9 forwards. Pelletier should not play 4th line, bring in a filler player and keep him in the AHL if thats where you are going to play him

Caps honestly don't need a C right now, where would he play? Caps have Backy, Kuzy, Eller tied up for multiple years still and little cap space.

If the Caps can unload Kuzy for cap space, makes more sense. But then our wings are much weaker without Mantha.

A better target would be the Wild obviously.

I think the idea is that Kuzy will be moved this summer

Yeah but we lose a top 6 wingers and don't replace him then. It's not a smart move by the Caps.
