with Eichel on the block worth much less, I wouldn't propose this deal from the rangers side and Edmonton just won't trade McDavid because of the revenue he brings in.

its an overpayment because of who else is acquirable (Eichel's expected value is 2 firsts and 2 prospects), and McDavid is untradeable because of the money he gives the oilers just for playing with them.

Oiler can't trade him and it won't happen, they need him too much. The amount of assets it would take to change their mind, it would make more sense for them to go after Eichel.

No Neal was so bad. I was hyped when we signed him then a year later I was hyped to trade him. Then Deangelo. Rangers are buying him out after this season
